We’re used to beating ourselves up

Posted on September 8, 2024 by wordhabit

Ppl: “How’s your new job going?”

Me: “It’s hard to take a day off coz I like the people I work with.”

Also me: “If this were my first ministry position, it would be kicking my tail just like the first one did. I’ve grown. There are still challenges, but I’m not stressed out like before. Growth matters. Don’t beat yourself up when your year 1 doesn’t sound like someone else’s year 15.”

I’m so very grateful.
