It has been a long time since I’ve thumbed my way through a post while our little one lays fast asleep on my arm. (Lays or lies? I don’t have time to google it. Time is short.)

I have a baggillion things to do today and wanted to be in the car by 9am with the 10-month wonder in tow but I got sidetracked. After helping me put on her socks (coz its 69 glorious fall degrees outside), she looked up and handed me her pink stuffed dog toy with a look that said, “Let’s play.” So that’s what we did. And I quickly decided that all the other things will have to wait.

Some days I intentionally carve out very specific time for family. Others days I surrender to what’s present tense and I don’t look back.
